Why do we as people focus on our future and not live right now. We spend a lot of time trying to figure out why and when instead of enjoying life right now. We spend time and place energy thinking about the latter of life rather than ceasing the moments right now. We must learn to appreciate the now. My Pastor often speaks about No Opportunity Wasted. The NOW
How many of you spend so much time dealing with the thoughts of when, someday….Later….when I get financially set, when I am able to do better…until you miss being happy right now. God wants us to trust him for every aspect of our life.
I read a story of a 97-year-old man he wished he had lived life. His wife had died, his kids were grown up, and he had wasted his time with his family because he was always living for what was ahead. He failed to live in the moment.
Sometimes we spend so much time looking to the future or dwelling on the past, but the only time we have any control over is the present. THE NOW. I came across many people who for whatever reason spend so much time in the past. Personal pain and suffering are created in the mind by identifying yourself with the past or longing for the future, instead of just being in the moment.

This hit close to home. I’m always planning and storing for the future instead of living for today. After reading this motivational passage, I pledge to do better by myself and live in the present. That movie I’ve wanted to see, I will not wait until it comes out on DVD, I’m leaving work early and going to the movies, today! Thank you for your inspiration and life changing thoughts. This is to me. I am always helping others. I say I”ll do it later. So I do need to live in the now because there are some things I would love to do. I must take time for myself. I want to enjoy life. I know you only live once. Time is so short and life sometimes has unexpected turns. So thank you for the words of encouragement and wisdom.
