I Am Greater Than FEAR!

We can overcome, conquer, and defeat it. If given the opportunity, it can paralyze one’s emotions. It is famous for causing anxiety, leaving an individual feeling breathless. It is a counterfeit of my faith and the best friend to the enemy. It’s not of God and not a friend, but one invites it in to take counsel. It’s a paranoia that presents a threat due to the unknown. It. Is. Fear.

We get complacent and accept what the enemy feeds us. We let the enemy remain in our lives and bring up things from the past which cause us to develop the fear of moving forward. We embrace our fears and allow the enemy to inhabit the things that don’t belong to him: our freedom and our peace. Fear can be a powerful force. Fear targets your mind and emotions and attempts to consume you completely. These emotions will keep you in a holding pattern. They will cripple, paralyze, and send you into a paranoid panic attack. The things we should embrace, we cut off, and what we should cut off, we embrace. Your mind doesn’t belong to the devil. 2 Timothy 1:7 empowers us, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” No matter what it looks like, be confident that you have a sound mind, and fear will not win over God. We must cut off the thoughts of the enemy and embrace God’s Word, which is total freedom. The Word sets us free and equips us to realize we are greater than fear.
