Jealousy!

July 19, 20200

The largest audience rarely seen is the assembled spectators who oppose you. Haters or as some call them, frenemies, sit there at full attention watching and waiting for you to fall. The opposed – those jealous hearts – smile externally, but internally, something else simmers. Their strong desire for you to be defeated hides in a deep, dark chamber of their hearts. It’s been there for so long that it has settled into the mind. Ugly, cruel, cold, and lonely. Happiness is an easier choice. Congratulating requires less energy. Complimenting seems fitting; yet, they are content to withhold the beauty of praise, not realizing their glow comes from your shine.

They admire from afar but refuse to praise. They hold on to jealousy, wanting what others have while failing to realize the beauty that exists in their world. They fail to realize that the spirit of hatred, fueled by jealousy, is a thief. It steals the gift of a simple compliment. Compliments have the potential to give someone else hope, life, and encouragement. What does one gain from jealousy? Nothing. It’s important to call it what it is. Jealousy is a demon. It has a wicked presence while disguising as other emotions. It’s a cold feeling. An enemy. A taker. Giving nothing but emptiness and taking away life. Have you ever met people who constantly speak of themselves, and refuse to see the good and successes of others? Have you ever brought this up to them, yet, they refused even to consider acknowledge it? Did they choose to deny ownership? Friend, please don’t let that be you.
