Proverbs 27:17 – Iron sharpens Irons so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Remember the story of the scorpion that asked a frog to carry him across the river because he could not swim? The frog asked, “How do I know you will not sting me?” The scorpion said, “Now if I sting you, we’ll both drown.” So the scorpion hopped on. Halfway across the river, the scorpion stung him. As they were drowning, the frog said, ‘You promised you wouldn’t sting me. Why did you sting me?” The scorpion replied, “I cannot help it; it’s my nature to sting.” This is a powerful analogy. Take a moment to process this story by thinking about the people you surround yourself with.

Do you know who you are in covenant with?
You cannot partner successfully with someone who does not share your goals and dreams. Importantly, do not link up with someone who does not share your God-given purpose. Link up with a woman who can sharpen you, and in turn, you sharpen them. Go in covenant with someone that can empower you that you may empower someone else. Link up with a sister that will tell you the truth in love which will make you better. We live in a time when women spend so much time hating on one another, being envious of one another rather than supporting and loving on each other.
Go in covenant with someone that will invest in you by pouring into your wisdom and encouragement. Ask God to link you with women that has your best interest at heart. A sister that will catapult you to the next level.
And, If you get to the top before they do, they are not mad. They celebrate you until it’s their turn. Go in covenant with one that will pray, cry, laugh and rejoice with you in the good and bad times. And you, in turn, do the same for them.
