Just Keep Swimming

November 6, 20190

God has given you the strength to fly and soar. One of the most competitive swimmers of all time was Michael Phelps. He won 28 Olympian medals. He was indeed an Olympian. He was noted for his powerful race in the butterfly. In life, we must know when to transform.  You must know when to combat the enemy and surpass him fiercely. I took pleasure in watching Michael Phelps in the Olympic games as he would plunge up and down in the deep waters leading out against his opponents. Michael Phelps would spring up as the butterfly as his arms charged in the water. He had great confidence. I’m sure at moments he was tired, but the victory was in his view, he had a champion state of mind that would not allow him to flop or fail. His presence was known to all due to his history of triumphs. He knew how to swim. The crowd and the opponent all respected him. In life, you have to swim and not stop when life is on your heels.  You cannot stop. You cannot drop back; you have to continue moving forward with a victory in your view. Learn how to swim. It is necessary! It is important.

There will come a time in life that you will need to swim against the opposition, change and strong currents and you must learn to be triumphant when you feel that you may be drowning.  In the event, you have powerful opponents that appear unkind and different from your lifelong beliefs swim in your lane, swim your race, be vigilant.  Be you and be strong. There will be times when you feel that you will be swimming against the tide which can we hard and discouraging, but grace will see you through victoriously.  As this powerful poem reads, remember the powerful words:

“Sometimes you have to swim against the tide, at times you have flown in the face of opinion, sometimes you have to decide which side, that you are going to take, there are moments when taking a stand is the only right thing to do, even if goes against other plans in the end, that’s just the way it is, don’t go getting it twisted, don’t think what you’re doing is wrong, just because you’re not following the other fishes, swimming in life’s pond, sometimes you have to be unique, sometimes you need to show your individuality on occasions, you have no choice, you have to make your voice heard in the end, that’s just the way it is, so don’t go getting it twisted, don’t think what you’re doing is wrong, just because you’re not following the other fishes swimming in life’s pond.”
