He leads me beside still waters; he restoreth my soul. Psalm 23:2b.
Still waters. Friends no matter what you are going through, nothing compares to God’s stillness. Grace. God’s presence shows up in stillness. His stillness will turn your chaotic situation to a picture of peace. You must trust God to do that for you. Trust God to be everything you need him to be. The word declares, “He leads me beside the still waters.” And the word didn’t stop there for the scripture said he restoreth my soul. All the deadness, broken pieces of you, and me he leads us to stillness and fixes us by restoring us to wholeness.
We are restored to freedom, and everything that was out of order in your life is now made still. That’s grace. Your test of disappointment is now your testimony. A huge mess is now a message to others that God takes rambunctious ragging water and makes it still. God takes a soul that is cloudy, confused, hurting, and bruised, and he restores.
