To be every woman walking through a broken season… 🌿
Be careful who you open up to when you’re in pieces. Everyone is not equipped to hold your secrets and your pain. When you’re hurting go to God first. He can handle what others cannot.
Understand this: there is a recompense. Every exchange good or bad carries weight. Not everything shared is inspired by the Lord, and not every ear is a safe one. You can damage yourself, and sometimes others, by pouring into the wrong vessels.
Be wise sisters some people are chameleons. They will shift their colors to gain your trust, blend into your world, and appear to be exactly what you need in a vulnerable moment. Discernment is everything. Everyone who shows up in your broken season did not come to help you heal. Watch your emotions!
Some people just want to hear it. They want to be in your mouth, in your story, in your business but they have no intention of being in your healing process. They collect your pain like gossip and disappear when the real work begins. A listener is not always a lifeline. An enemy! Hurtful but real. Be careful!
The right people the ones God sends will see you as He sees you. They won’t use your wounds against you. They will want to heal with you, win with you, and walk alongside you with pure and great intentions. Their presence will feel like peace, not confusion.
And they will tell you the truth even when it’s uncomfortable. They won’t just say what you want to hear to keep the peace or stay in your good graces. They will speak into your life with honesty because they are inspired by love. Real love doesn’t flatter you into destruction. It tells you the hard thing with a soft heart because it genuinely wants to see you whole.
Healing has a process. Seek therapy from a trusted therapist with the right tools that are sound! And guard who you call a confidant. An anointed friend is one who has your best interest at heart, who sees your worth even when you’ve forgotten it yourself. You deserve to be held with care. 💛
Not everyone has earned the right to your rawest moments. Pray for discernment.
Smile anyway …
